Accessibility

If any part of this site keeps you from getting what you need, that is our problem to fix, and we want to hear about it.

Our standard

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That target shaped the build rather than being checked afterwards.

What that means here

  • Keyboard. Every link, button, form field, and the accessibility panel itself can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. A visible focus ring follows you.
  • Skip link. The first focusable item on every page jumps past the navigation to the main content.
  • Structure. One <h1> per page, headings in order, landmarks for header, navigation, main, and footer, so a screen reader can move by region.
  • Forms. Every field has a real label tied to it. Required fields are marked in text as well as in code. Error states are announced by the browser rather than by colour alone.
  • Contrast. Text and interface colours are checked against their actual backgrounds at build time. A build fails if a pair drops below the AA threshold.
  • Motion. If your system asks for reduced motion, animation is switched off. You can also pause motion from the accessibility panel.
  • Zoom and reflow. The layout reflows to 320px and holds up at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
  • Images. Meaningful images carry alternative text. Decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology.

The accessibility panel

The button at the lower-left of every page opens a panel with text sizing, high contrast, link highlighting, a readable font, and a motion pause. Your choices are stored in your own browser and persist between visits.

A panel like this helps, but it is not a substitute for an accessible build, and we do not treat it as one.

Known limitations

  • Documents we send by email, such as statements and condition reports, are not yet produced as tagged accessible PDFs. If you need a report in an accessible format, ask and we will send it as plain text, large print, or a structured document.
  • Third-party services we may add later, such as a payment or scheduling tool, are not under our direct control. We will test any addition before it goes live and will not ship one that cannot be operated by keyboard.

If something does not work

Tell us what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If you use assistive technology, naming it helps us reproduce the problem.

We aim to respond within two business days. If a fix will take longer than that, we will tell you how we can get you the information another way in the meantime.

Nothing on this site is the only way to reach us. Every request, question, and form can be handled over the phone during business hours, by email, or by mail.
